FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
DO I NEED A PRESCRIPTION OR PHYSICIANS REFERRAL?
Direct Access resides over the state of Arizona. In order to be treated at Abide, a prescription or referral is not required. At Abide, you will be evaluated and treated by a Doctor of Physical Therapy. What this means is that you can receive care without a primary care physician referral.
DOES ABIDE ACCEPT INSURANCE?
– Abide is a mobile, concierge- based company so, we come to you. Otherwise, we have two locations to serve you.
– You are in full control of your plan of care. You dictate how much care you need; it is not determined by your insurance company.
– You receive individualized treatment sessions and your body elicits quicker results.
HOW MANY VISITS WILL I NEED?
The challenge resides in knowing the exact amount, since each person will respond and heal differently. Abide offers individualized sessions in addition to packaged sessions. Most patients will experience a relief of pain within the first treatment session. At your initial evaluation, Dr. Michelle will provide you with expert opinion on how many treatment sessions to expect.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
All evaluations and treatment sessions include assessments that require a visible examination of the muscles, joints, and surrounding tissue. Please wear loose and comfortable clothing.
WHAT ARE COMMON TREATMENT PACKAGES?
We have several available treatment packages for patients:
– (6) 1-hour follow up treatment sessions
– (1) 1-hour follow up treatment sessions
– Restorative session: Cupping/Dry Needling
