PELVIC HEALTH SERVICES
Pelvic issues impact both males and females. Many people have unique pelvic floor conditions that significantly impact the most basic elements of their daily lives and don’t know where to turn. In many cases, there is a solution.
What is pelvic health?
Pregnancy is Temporary, Postpartum is Forever
Most women and families accept that pregnancy and post-partum come with minor aches and maybe even a little loss of bladder control. Recurring symptoms such as these can indicate a higher risk for long term consequences that interfere with caring for your baby and returning to work or fitness activities:
- difficulty lifting, carrying, running or nursing
- post-partum depression
- damage to the pelvic floor
- stress urinary incontinence
- bowel difficulties
Issues during pregnancy and the early post-partum years can even increase your risk of future back pain issues and symptomatic pelvic organ prolapse in the perimenopause or menopause years.
At Abide, we believe women deserve to feel well, function well and understand their bodies well throughout their lifespan. As a pregnancy and postpartum Athleticism coach, Dr. Michelle coaches mammas during all phases of life including pregnancy, delivery, motherhood, perimenopause, and menopause.
