Abide shortens the duration and need of time spent providing a more customized physical therapy plan of care through utilizing physical touch of muscles, nerves and tissues.
OUR DIFFERENCE
Abide’s Abiding Difference is Manual Therapy.
Each patient receives a thorough assessment of their pain and movement challenges.
Next, each patient receives manual therapy and education tailored to their specific goals and needs.
At Abide, all therapy sessions are directly provided with the Doctor of Physical Therapy.
In this way, patients know that they are being treated with a highly skilled professional who will pay close attention to their needs in order to help lead each individual towards their goals efficiently.
Dr. Michelle Perry
Doctor of Physical Therapy, PT, DPT, OCS, FAAOMPT, COMT
As a young girl, I wanted to be an optometrist. I played “eye doctor” with my siblings, kept medical charts of them, and looked into their eyeballs at least twice each month. I pursued my dream of becoming an optometrist, graduated college and was heading into Optometry school.
One day, I was in a terrible car accident that resulted in my inability to be able to walk, sit or stand. My life was forever changed.
I was in terrible pain and attended physical therapy as a result. My physical therapist ended up being my biggest blessing. He was a highly specialized manual therapist; had the ability to get me out of pain in a matter of weeks and then challenge my body in such a way where I was able to resume walking and functioning again.
Although my journey through physical therapy was challenging, it was transformational.
It changed the trajectory of my life and I made a decision to become a highly specialized Doctor of Physical Therapy in order to drastically impact the lives of my patients and their family members.
Hey there! I’m Dr. Michelle. I am the founder and owner of Abide Physical Therapy.
I graduated from the University of Minnesota with my Doctorate in Physical Therapy and began my career working in sports medicine and skilled nursing facilities. As a result of my desire to help individuals return to above optimal standards, I decided to become specialized in orthopedics and manual therapy. After a couple years of practicing, I completed OPTIM Manual Therapy’s Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapy program (COMT) and soon after obtained my Board Certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).

I value education and ensuring that my patients are adequately informed on their limitations. All patients are provided with tools to regain their optimal function.
Our bodies are designed to move.
I am committed to improving the lives of my patients through utilizing movement.
Throughout each session, the focus will be centered on functional movement, corrective exercise, joint movement therapy combined with soft tissue and nervous system regeneration.
When I am not treating patients, I enjoy teaching physical therapy students! I love hiking, reading, powerlifting, participating in martial arts, and spending time with my family and friends.
