POSTURE
Many struggle with neck or back pain in relation to posture while sitting. Unfortunately, having perfect posture does not exist.
What causes poor posture?
Our bodies are designed to move. We need to move and move often. If you are sedentary greater than 60 minutes, increase the number of rest breaks by standing up to stretch your muscles and joints.
Guide your body through purposeful movement when working, sitting and studying.
How will Abide Physical Therapy help?
Abide will provide you with ergonomic training tailored to meet your seated study and work station requirements. We will help you sit prolonged periods free of challenges and discomfort.
Manual Therapy – One of Abide’s core pillars is Manual Therapy. Manual Therapy (osteopathic, visceral, craniosacral) is a hands-on approach to free up restrictions present within soft tissue or spinal joints, and for correcting postural and spinal alignment.
Postural Education and Exercise Training – Maintaining an efficient posture is important to minimize strain placed on muscles and ligaments around the spine. Abide will help you determine the source of your symptoms and provide you with tools to minimize the chance of recurrence.
